    • Roccoco Centerpiece
      High Res Version
Accompanying Text: "Work the pink roses solid with a filling in the center of yellow French knots. Work the leaves in heavy long and short stitch, blending at least three shades to the center vein - pale pink, pale blue and light maize may be blended together. The tip of a leaf may start with pale green, followed by pale pink, into which a light yellow is blended, and so on. The effect is that of mother-of-pearl coloring. The stem should be worked quite heavy. Work diamond couching in center circle. The edge may be fringed, but the most popular finish is to work the outer edge of design in buttonhole long and short stitch, cutting away the material from the edge."
    • English Lavender Handkerchief
      High Res Version
Accompanying Text: "The edging is worked in Filo white, the flower petals in shades of blue and periwinkle with darker centers, the leaves in pale and grey green. Work the center of the flowers in fine French knots. Tip the short end of each petal with pale green. Work entire design solid. English Lavender has been but little employed as a decorative motif, and is therefore a comparatiev novelty."
